The “cross-docking” term refers to the transfer of cargo from one vehicle to another. This tool for redistribution of trade flows is able to speed up and optimize the delivery of goods between the sender and the recipient.
With cross-docking, you can completely eliminate warehouse storage. You just need to plan the logistics properly. You can order this service from P&B Terminal.

Features of cross docking
We use two types of cross docking.
- One-stage. A consignment of goods is reloaded from one vehicle to another through the dock immediately after arrival. The company that delivers it moves pallets or containers, whereafter the cargo is further transported to a place of destination.
- Two-stage. The service implies additional work with the cargo: packaging, labelling, palletizing, etc. The consignment comes to the warehouse, where the cargo is processed in a special area. Then, it is moved to next vehicle.
